BWA launches congress promotional video

Washington, DC (BWA) -- The Baptist World Alliance has launched a video to promote
the 20th Baptist World Congress to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii, from July 28 to 
August 1, 2010.
The video highlights features of the Baptist World Congress, including the great
diversity of persons of various nationalities and cultures who attend the events.
The world congress, held every five years, is the largest international gathering
of Baptist Christians, with attendance of more than 10,000 persons from more than
100 countries.

The challenge to be courageous

What would life be like if we lived without courage?
To live without courage is to refuse to face and deal with
the reality that confronts us. It is to court the sort of self-denial that is
debilitating. It is to acquiesce in the demise of our integrity.
Lack of courage destroys truthfulness: we stay silent when
we should speak; we speak up for causes we should oppose; we pretend everything

2013 Baptist Youth World Conference in Singapore11 Sep 2009
Washington, DC (BWA) -- The 16th Baptist Youth World Conference will be held on 
the Southeast Asian island city-state of Singapore in July 2013.
The conference, the last of which was held in Leipzig, Germany, in 2008, takes place
every five years. The first youth conference was held in Prague, Czechoslovakia,
in 1931, with 400 delegates from 16 countries.
Emmett Dunn, Director of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Youth Department, stated
that Singapore was chosen due to its ideal location in Asia, its relatively easy
