Ellen Teague retiring from the BWA

Ellen Teague, director of Finance and Administration, will retire from the Baptist
World Alliance (BWA) at the end of December 2009.
Teague joined the staff of the BWA in 1994. Prior to that, she served as director
of the North American Baptist Women's Union.
During her 15 years with the BWA, Teague has served as head of finance and conference
coordinator. In 2003, she was elected director of Finance and Administration.
A conscientious member of the BWA Executive staff, Teague is respected for her quick

United Nations must relook West Papuan cause



SINCE 1969, some West Papuans treated the “Act of Free Choice as an Act of No Choice” and decided to “vote with their feet”.



This has forced West Papuans to scatter throughout PNG and other Melanesian countries.

THREE Papua New Guinea politicians have joined an international
campaign to support West Papuans persecuted by Indonesian authorities.



The PNG MPs reignited the controversial issue last Friday, one week
before the Indonesian government starts repatriating up to 700 West
Papuans who live in Port Moresby or towns along the shared border.
